Fascia surrounds our body's muscles as well as all the organs, it is the very fabric of our veins, tendons' cartilage, fat, & in general all our body tissue. It ranges from the most delicate tissue & varies in texture, thicknesss, strength & elasticity. The fascia surrounding & supporting our muscles embodies pain receptors, when our muscles change their shape due to dysfunction or imbalance it can cause the muscle to become short & tight or long & weak, the fascia will adjust to accommodate the new form of the afffected muscle as it plays a major role in ensuring an upright posture. When this repositioning occurs it can cause a painful burning sensation. In conjunction with this it also prevents the muscle from returning to its optimal & correct form. Myofascial Release Therapy releases the contorted fascia allowing it & the affected muscle to return to the natural position when used in tandem with remedial massage techniques. 👐🏻

Trigger Point
